Items Damaged While in Roadrunner’s Care
We made it perfectly clear before Roadrunner Restoration started to pack up any books, that most items on the library shelves were antiquarian (old), valuable, and non-replaceable. The packers were very quick to get them off the shelves (even though there was no immediate threat that they would get wet/damaged) and placed in boxes, “following protocol” we were told. (ie paper stuffed in a box with the books lying on top) In some cases one book per box which got jostled around while being moved in a nearly empty box while being moved to/fro from storage.
The items listed below were damaged while in Roadrunner’s ‘care’.
This list represents the items documented so far. This is a work in progress so please check back for updates.
